Temporary Residence

A third country national (i.e. non EU citizen) planning to work, do business or study in Slovakia may be granted a temporary residence (provided that he/she meets the relevant legal conditions and based on a submitted application).

A temporary residence may be granted for one of the following specific purposes: 

Application for temporary residence in Slovakia consists of an official form and all required attachments. 

When applying for temporary residence, the purpose of your residence in Slovakia may be documented by various documents, which we analyse more closely in this article.  

BUSINESS IS DOCUMENTED BY:

Blue Card is a type of temporary residence, which is issued to third country nationals for the purpose of highly qualified employment in Slovakia. The basic requirement for acquiring the Blue Card is a higher professional qualification in the form of a university education. Blue Card entitles you to enter, reside and work in Slovakia, to travel abroad and back.
