From the 1st of January – the minimum wage increases

From January 2018 the amount of the minimum wage will depend on the type of occupation and will increase from 480 € to 960 €. Every employer is obliged to classify every job position according to level of difficulty stipulated by the Slovak Labour Code.

The minimum wage of the 1st level of difficulty will be 480 €.

The minimum wage for the other levels of difficulty will be derived from this amount. To get the minimum wage, the amount 480 € shall be multiplied by the coefficient of the minimum wage according to the Slovak Labour Code.

The minimum hourly wage rate will increase to 2,759 EUR per hour in 2018.
