IMPORTANT: Slovak parliament has approved an amendment to the Act on the Residence of Foreigners, which is dealing with issues emerging in connection with the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Learn more about the approved measures HERE.
An amendment to the Act on Employment Services has been approved. According to it, the validity of confirmations on the possibility to fill a vacancy/high qualified vacancy and work permits that would have expired during the crisis situation or within one month of the situation being revoked is extended until two months of the crisis situation being revoked.
The Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs, and Family issued an Instruction on the employment of third-country nationals whose temporary residence validity expired during a crisis situation (published in Slovak).

From 6 April 2022, no registration with eHranica or quarantine for the unvaccinated is required for entry into Slovakia.
As of 2nd August 2021, the vaccination without registration is open in designated hospitals (list HERE). Registration for COVID-19 vaccination is open to anyone from the age of 12 HERE.

General practitioners can write out an incapacity for work (PN) due to the quarantine. The confirmation of this will be sent by the doctor directly to the Social Insurance Agency in order to restrict the movement of people. Information on how to claim benefits without visiting a Social Insurance Agency branch is available on the SIA website
Online materials for home-schooling and information on current measures, instructions and guidelines in the area of education can be found at the official portal "Ucime na dialku".
A new toll-free info line is available under the Ministry of Education: 0800 864 833. The line is aimed at parents in difficult situations, in need of advice from a social mediator, or for psychological or special educational intervention. The service is available from 09:00 to 18:00.
